Post 1

The last paper I wrote in ENG 103 was my favorite. We were able to pick the type of paper that we wanted to write. I chose to write an analysis. I wrote about the movie Juno. Since I was interested in my topic I didn't wait until the last minute to write it, like I usually do. I watched the movie all the way through and then highlighted on the main parts after the movie was finished. I used these highlighted scenes as a starter for the actual paper and also for a rough draft. When I wrote the final draft I watched the movie in sections and wrote as certain things happened. Whether it is the movie playing or my roommate talking to me, I always have to some kind of noise. I can't concentrate when there is silence and find myself easily distracted. The weird thing about this is that I was the complete opposite in high school.

The difference to me between editing and revising is that when you edit something you go through and look for mistakes. Whether someone else is reading the paper or you are proofreading, the mistakes are usually crossed out and suggestions are made. Revision is when you actually go through and rewrite the edited areas and piece them in with the paper.
